Privacy Policy
What EZ Numbers collects to build your plan, how it is used and kept, and the choices you have.
The short version: EZ Numbers collects what you give us to build your plan, uses it only to run the Service, never sells it, and is made for adults, not children. It is run by Machine Elves, LLC, a California limited liability company ("we"). Last updated: November 5, 2026.
What We Collect
We collect only what we need to build, publish and keep your plan.

We do not ask for Social Security numbers, bank account numbers or date of birth, and please do not put them in your answers.
How We Use It
We use your information to:
- build, publish and update your plan, and show it to you and to people you share it with;
- sign you in, take payment and send receipts;
- send the emails you would expect (your plan is ready, renewal notices, replies to you);
- make introductions you ask for, and nothing more;
- keep the Service secure, fix problems and understand which features get used, in combined counts.
We never sell your information, share it for cross-context advertising, or let AI providers train their models on it. We do not use your business figures for anything except your own plan, unless you opt in to Follow-Up Questions below.
Follow-Up Questions (Only If You Opt In)
When you build a plan, we may ask whether you would like to help us learn how plans like yours turn out. It is a separate choice with its own box, which starts unticked, and saying no changes nothing about your plan or the Service.
If you say yes, we ask a few short questions when you sign up and again about 6, 12 and 24 months later, such as whether the business opened, whether it raised money, and whether it is still operating. We may also look up public records about your company, such as federal Form D filings and state business registries, and compare them with your plan.
We use these answers and matches only to measure and improve how well EZ Numbers reads plans. Results leave EZ Numbers only as combined statistics that cannot identify you or your business. We never sell them, never show them to investors, lenders or partners, and never let AI providers train their models on them.
You can stop at any time in your account or by writing to privacy@eznumbers.com. We then stop asking and matching, and delete your follow-up answers and matches within 30 days.
Who We Share It With
We share information only with companies that run parts of the Service for us, under contracts that limit them to that job, and with partners you ask us to introduce you to.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a sale or merger of EZ Numbers, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.
Cookies and Browser Storage
We use one sign-in cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser's own storage for small conveniences, such as which checklist steps you ticked. We also use analytics cookies from PostHog to count visits and to see which steps and parts of a page people use, including where they click and how far they scroll. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
To opt out of analytics, turn on your browser's Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control setting: with either one on, our pages do not load analytics at all. We never sell or share your information either way.
Children's Privacy
EZ Numbers is a business planning tool for adults. It is not directed to children, and you must be 18 or older to create an account or buy anything.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, as defined by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we learn that we have, we delete it promptly and close any related account. Parents or guardians who believe their child has given us information can write to privacy@eznumbers.com, and we will delete it.

We protect information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), access limited to the people who run the Service, separate credentials for each part of the system, and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
Your Choices and Rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- show you the personal information we hold about you, or give you a copy;
- correct it;
- delete it (we keep only what the law requires, such as payment records);
- stop sending you anything but essential account emails;
- stop Follow-Up Questions and public record matching at any time.
Write to privacy@eznumbers.com from the email on your account. We answer within 30 days, and we never treat you differently for asking.
California residents. We collect the categories in What We Collect, for the purposes in How We Use It, from the sources shown there, and we disclose them only to the providers in Who We Share It With. We do not sell or share personal information, as those words are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer anything about you. You may use an authorized agent to make a request; we may ask the agent for proof of authority.
Changes and Contact
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email you at least 14 days before the change takes effect and update the date at the top.
